Make the season bright as you create with vintage holiday blocks in this one-day workshop.
Get in the holiday spirit! Join us to print wrapping paper or unique holiday gifts for your loved-ones. For this fun-filled day of printing we will be pulling out our collection of spectacular holiday blocks, cuts, and imagery that is not otherwise available to the public. The pressroom collection of type will be also available, so you may print non- holiday-themed items. Participants will learn the basics of letterpress printing, including type composition, inking methods, and press operation. The morning begins with instruction on setting type and using a sign press. In the afternoon we will dive into printing, experimenting with bold letters, holiday phrases, and playful seasonal designs.
